Identifying and following organisational and legal requirements relating to traffic control and management.
Preparing a traffic management plan and controlling workplace risks.
Different measures which may be used when controlling and managing traffic.
Implementing traffic management measures safely and correctly, following a traffic guidance scheme and correct sequences and protocols.
Correct signals, procedures and protocols for controlling traffic with a stop-slow bat.
Monitoring traffic control measures and dealing with issues and traffic offenses.
Removing traffic management measures safely and finishing the job.
This course is based on the national competency standards accredited by the state and national training authorities.

Who should complete this training?
The Traffic Management Refresher course is suitable for workers who hold existing traffic management and traffic controller qualifications and wish to update their training.
You must hold an existing licence, ticket or statement of attainment for both Implement Traffic Management Plans and Control Traffic with a Stop-Slow bat qualifications to complete this training. Your licence/ticket/statement of attainment must be no more than 9 years old. You will be required to provide a copy of your qualification in order to successfully complete this course and receive your certification.
NOTE: Some states of Australia have regulated traffic control schemes. While the units we issue are to nationally-recognised training standards, holding these units may not be the only requirement to perform traffic control work in your state. Due to the ever-evolving requirements of these schemes, we strongly recommend checking with your state authority to confirm that this course will sufficiently qualify you to perform your intended work within your state before enrolling.

What will I get once I have completed this course?
Once learners have successfully completed all components of this course, a Statement of Attainment which shows the relevant units of competency will be sent to the learner via email within 30 days.
