The combined Verification of Competency (VOC) course allows workers to prove that they have a good understanding of the current industry regulations relating to high risk work, as well as the skills to competently and safely carry out dogging, basic rigging, non-slewing crane and forklift work.
A VOC certificate allows you to prove to employers or prospective employers that you are competent to do your job and have up-to-date skills and knowledge. This not only increases your chance of gaining employment, but also helps you to cover off on legal requirements.
You can enrol in this course online and complete your training via blended learning.
Who should complete this training?
This training is appropriate for workers or sub-contractors who already hold licences or tickets for the relevant high risk work classes, and are seeking to update their training.
We recommend that you complete your VOC every 2.5 years after gaining a licence/ticket in order to make sure your skills and knowledge are kept up-to-date with the most current industry standards.
Note: You must hold a current licence or ticket for DOGGING (DG), BASIC RIGGING (RB), NON-SLEWING CRANE (CN) AND FORKLIFT (LF) to complete this training, and you will be required to provide a copy of this to us in order to successfully complete your VOC.
What does this course include?
This combined VOC pack includes the following components:
A Learners Guide which you can use to update your knowledge to the latest industry standards;
A Theory Assessment to test your knowledge of the information included in the Learners Guide;
Practical Self-Assessments for each licence class that you will complete to help us gain an understanding of your practical skills and abilities relating to dogging, basic rigging, non-slewing crane and forklift operations;
A Reference Declaration, completed by a current or previous boss/supervisor or assessor, to help prove that you are competent to carry out operations relevant to each licence class.
The cost of this training includes an on-site practical assessment by a registered WorkSafe/WorkCover assessor.
As part of this course, you must provide us with proof of prior training (a picture of your licences/tickets), as well as copies of identification documents to prove your identity.
After a registered assessor has signed off on your VOC, you will receive a Statement of Attainment to prove you have completed your training and assessment.
Candidates may also wish to obtain a plastic wallet card as portable, convenient proof of training. These can be purchased for a small additional fee by clicking here.
Please note that after purchase, you will have 28 days to complete your training and assessment.
